Community Guidelines

ExpatPilot Community helps people understand what others encountered at German offices and services. Contributions are personal experiences, not official guidance. Keep them factual, practical, current, and safe to act on.

What to share

What is not allowed

Screening and moderation

Text is automatically screened before publication. A contribution may be rejected or held for human review. Users can report content and separately block a contributor. Reported content disappears immediately for the reporter. Urgent safety, abuse, and personal-data reports are hidden from everyone while reviewed.

ExpatPilot may publish, limit, hide, remove, or preserve content and may restrict an account when reasonably necessary to apply these Guidelines, the Terms, or the law. Moderation decisions are recorded. Privacy-safe aggregates may be recalculated when content is removed.

Response targets

These are operational targets, not emergency services. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service. For urgent personal-data exposure, use the in-app report and email support@expatpilot.de.

Reporting, blocking, and reconsideration

Use the clearly labelled Report action on a contribution and select the closest reason. Use Block this contributor separately when you do not want to see that person's content. Blocks are private and can be reversed in the Community Safety Center. To request reconsideration of your own moderated contribution, email support@expatpilot.de from your account email and identify the office or service without including sensitive documents.
